ESOF2004 Career Programme

The ESOF2004 Career Programme wishes to contribute to the successful career development of young researchers. The emerging labour market of the European Research Area requires the adequate adaptation of research training to include mobility and appropriate mentoring schemes, along with the necessary transferable skills in order to be prepared for new employment opportunities.

At ESOF2004 you can gain insight into how to overcome mobility barriers,
contribute in panel discussions aimed at career development, be inspired by hearing those who have had great achievements within the world of science, participate in practical workshops and learn first hand knowledge on how to construct a successful career, while also acquiring technical updates on the latest scientific and engineering technologies and important policy issues. You will discover all this and more at ESOF2004. Enhance your career!

The Marie Curie Fellowship Association (MCFA) is the organisation of researchers who have been awarded a Community Research Training Grant involving mobility. It unites more than 3,000 mobile researchers all over Europe and beyond, giving them a voice in science policy debates and providing a highly interdisciplinary network for scientific exchange and collaboration. Naturejobs is the career resource of the leading weekly multidisciplinary science journal Nature. In print and free online we provide scientists with articles, tools and the top jobs. Each week the Naturejobs editors investigate the dynamic landscape of science with articles covering vocational issues from undergraduate onwards.
